Helping to Shape Hastings' Future Planning Policy

Town Centre Development Group – Feedback from the Local Development Framework consultation

Eighteen months ago, Castle Ward Forum Development SIG took part in a major consultation with HBC planners to help shape the planning framework for Hastings until 2026, known as the Local Development Framework Core Strategy. This will replace the current Local Plan when it is adopted in 2011. As well as an overall vision for the town and policies on housing, offices, shops the consultation document included specific policies for the town centre and suggested preferred approaches. Several members of the Development SIG got together to produce a lengthy response covering almost 60 separate issues.
